- Malaysia 's Deputy Finance Minister, YB Dato' Dr. Awang Adek Hussin, acknowledged the "good work" done by UHY in audit and assurance in the country when he addressed the opening dinner at the start of the UHY Asia-Pacific region meeting in Kuala Lumpur on the 1st of July 2010.

- The new forensic accounting service provided by UHY has been given a bigger profile as a result of Bursa Malaysia's appointment of UHY as special auditor to investigate the five- year history of furniture maker Kenmark Industrial Co. (M) Bhd. And identify any irregularities, especially in its cross-border and related transactions.

- Our KL office recently announced two high level appointments in their Taxation Division and recently launched Forensic, Litigation and Valuation Services (FLVS) Division in a strategic business reorganization and reposition move. "Our intention is to realign our strategic business units (SBUs) with our growth and expansion objectives." said Alvin Tee, our KL office Senior Partner.
- UHY Learning Series #2 Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) Workshop 2010
- In line with the recent changes in Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) of Malaysia and IC Interpretations, UHY Chartered Accountants had organized a seminar, focusing on the highlights of the 2010 new FRSs, revised FRSs and IC Interpretations, on the 14th and 15th of October 2010, in Penang Eastern & Oriental Hotel. The FRS seminar was thus held with the intention of enhancing the understanding of preparers of the financial statements on various technicalities of the new FRSs.
- UHY Asia Pacific Regional Meeting 2010 in Kuala Lumpur
- The 1st to 3rd July 2010 saw UHY Partners from all over the world gather at J.W. Marriott Hotel, Kuala Lumpur for the UHY Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting 2010. Hosted by UHY in Malaysia, and co-chaired by UHY Board members Dato' John Lim and Mark Nicholaeff, the meeting carried sessions on how client service expectations can be met throughout the network.

- UHY held a Strategic Planning Forum in Bukit Kiarara Equestrian & Country Resort, mapping out their 2011 to 2015 strategic plan, in connection with the UHY network's Strategic Plan presented throughout the KL Asia- Pacific Regional Meeting, Istanbul Managing Partner's Forum and Auckland Annual Meeting that was attended by our Senior Partner Mr. Alvin Tee.

- Nearly 90 delegates signed up from around the globe to network at the 2010 UHY Annual Meeting in Auckland, New Zealand. The delegates represented 43 firms from 38 countries. Mr. Alvin Tee, Senior Partner of our KL office attended the UHY Annual Meeting in Auckland where he presented to the UHY International Board, UHY in Malaysia's plans for regional expansion that further received endorsements from Board members in various strategy sessions held during the meeting.
